CORDS Fieldbus Cables
Fieldbus is an all-digital, serial, two-way communications protocol that standardizes the interconnection of field devices at a communications rate of 31.25 KHz. CORDS Fieldbus cables are used to carry the signals between the field devices and the networks.
Typical Type and Size:
These cables are generally manufactured with following sizes:-1Px18 AWG, 1Px 16 AWG and Multipair cables x 16 AWG
Main Characteristics:
- The characteristic impedance of each twisted pair in the cable shall be 100+/-200 when tested as per ASTM D 4566 at 31.25 KHz.
- Signal attenuation of each twisted pair shall be less than 3 dB/km at 39 KHz.
- Minimum jacket resistance between cables shield and the metal structure shall be 1 M2/330 meters as defined in FF-844.
- Maximum propagation delay variance from 0.25 fr to 1.25 fr equal to 1.7 µs/Km Other specification shall be in accordance to Type-A cable as per IEC 61158-2.
